Extrusion
As custom extrusion specialists we can extrude material up to 80” wide, and between 0.015” and 0.390” thick. Sheets can be extruded with a variety of finishes, and either sheeted or rolled on 3”, 4”, 6” or 8” cores.

Compounding
Inline compounding of a variety of plastics, fillers, liquids and powders lets us tackle common performance issues like UV resistance, excessive shrink, or fire retardancy. Highly engineered additives can even improve electrical and thermal conductivity.

Lamination
We can apply laminations to either or both sides of an extruded product, using carpets, films, foams, foils, shoddy and fabric. Our lamination process minimizes laminate waste, which is essential where expensive laminates are used in decorative or highly engineered applications.

Surface Treatment
We are able to apply various coating layers through our co-extrusion process, and treat the surface of extruded materials with secondary processes to improve their properties, such as printability or anti-static dissipation.

Custom R&D
We have a long and successful history of partnering with our customers in a co-design process. If you’ve got an idea and are looking for advice on how to realize your vision, involving Highland in your R&D process at an early stage is a smart move.

Multilayer Extrusion
We can extrude materials in an A/B, B/A, A/B/A, or A/B/C construction. One application is extruding endothermic blowing agents with an A/B/A finish to produce a product which foams while it is thermoformed.
